I find myself juggling a full-time job, crazy kid schedules, a small farm of animals and sometimes house chores. But enjoying the outdoors is what keeps me grounded. My goal is to curate a beautiful collection of dahlias that look fantastic in bouquets and if I have extras to sell, I'd like to use some of the proceeds to purchase supplies to continue giving away bouquets in future years.

It's been my absolute pleasure, and quite honestly, sanity saver to grow cut flowers over the years. But I found the true peak when I started cutting and giving away bouquets. Sometimes words are hard to find and express, but flowers have a way to convey sympathy, happiness or support. In this fast-paced world we seem to have lost a bit of the personal connection and I'm so grateful to the amazing group of friends that help spread a little kindness throughout our community. Over the past few years we have given away over 750 bouquets! In 2026, I hope we can hit the 1,000 donated bouquet milestone!

The magic of giving

In 2022, I served as an Ambassador with the Growing Kindness Project, whose mission is to grow and give flowers to others. The mission meant a lot to me and I have continued planting seeds with the goal of sharing a little kindness.

It's a group effort and I couldn't do it without the support from my family and the Kindness Crew who have helped deliver over 750 bouquets!

Over the years I've dabbled in growing many different varieties of flowers and have fallen in love with dahlias. These wonderful flowers have starred in many of the bouquets that we've shared.
