Our Dahlia Tuber Sale is online only.

If you add an item in your cart, it is not reserved until you checkout and receive a confirmation order number. Dahlia sales can be crazy and frustrating. If an item you had in your cart then becomes unavailable, please know this is an e-commerce issue, not something that we have control over. My tip is to check out our varieties ahead of time, make a list and have fast fingers when the sale goes live!

Please try to get all of your tubers into your cart in one order. We do not offer combined shipping or the ability to add items once your order is place. This is something we will monitor for future years. 

Our Growing Policies

Although it may feel like I'm constantly overrun by pests, I do try to keep the plants healthy. I only use organic products on my dahlias and a harsh word or two for the Japanese Beetles. We are not certified organic, but do our best to be kind to the plants, avoiding harsh chemicals. As we are a very small farm just starting out, we do not have the plants tested for viruses or diseases. I cull out any suspicious looking plants/tubers and disinfect my tools when between plants/tubers. However, please be aware that dahlias can carry disease even if they don't show signs. The dormant virus may not present itself for a year or two. 

Dahlia tubers can be as unique as the blooms they produce. The truth is that even the small, thin, long or slightly imperfect tuber can produce a beautiful healthy plant. We inspect all of our tubers throughout the winter and will only ship the best ones. We keep the scarred, thin, scrawny, imperfect ones for our planting, knowing that they too will produce beautiful plants. 

We will wake tubers up in the spring so we can guarantee your tuber has at least one viable eye when shipped. Please inspect your tubers once you get them. If you have any concerns, please email us at gardenhandswi@gmail.com within 5 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number and photos of the tuber in question. At the sole discretion of Garden Hands Dahlias we may replace or refund your tuber. Shipping costs for refunded tubers is non-refundable. 

While we will do our best to ship you healthy tubers, please know, we are human and mistakes do happen. If the tubers are not what you expected, please email us at gardenhandswi@gmail.com so we can find a reasonable solution. 

Payments

Payment can be made through either PayPal or a major credit card.

Sales Tax

All Wisconsin state residents will be charged sales tax.

Shipping

• We will ship all orders as soon as there is no threat of frost in our zone 4 area, likely mid-April.
• We only ship to the United States. 
• Everything will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
• Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
• We will  not combine orders.

Shipping rates are:
Up to $50 purchased = $10
$50 - $249.99 = $15
$250 - $499.99 = $20
$500 or more = $30

Preparing for the Sale

We encourage you to take a look at the varieties we hope to offer. All varieties will be marked as out of stock until the sale. As we get the website set up, the varieties and prices may change, but we hope to finalize this as soon as possible.  The morning of the sale, I will close the website a couple hours before the sale to input inventory. The site will come back online at the time of the sale.
